National Sports Day: PM Modi salutes sportspersons, pays tribute to hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended greetings to sports lovers across the country on National Sports Day, praising the dedication and determination of Indian sportspersons.

In a post on X, Modi said the passion and commitment of athletes make the entire nation proud. He also paid tribute to legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand, whose contribution to Indian hockey continues to inspire generations.
