Indian Worker Killed, Three Injured in Moscow Drone Attack

Moscow: An Indian worker was killed and three others were injured in a drone attack in Russia’s Moscow region on Sunday, the Indian Embassy in Russia confirmed.

Following the incident, embassy officials visited the attack site and met the injured workers undergoing treatment at a local hospital. In a post on X, the embassy said it is coordinating with the concerned company and local authorities to provide all necessary assistance to the affected Indians.

The attack comes amid renewed hostilities between Russia and Ukraine after a temporary ceasefire observed from May 8 to May 11 ended.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy defended the strikes, saying Ukraine’s actions were part of its response to the ongoing war. “Our reactions are justified as Russia continues the war. This time, Ukraine’s long-range attacks have reached the Moscow region as well,” he wrote on X.
