New Delhi: Around 600 runners from different commands of the Indian Air Force and Indian Army took part in the “Op Sindoor Commemoration Run” organised to honour Operation Sindoor.
The 88-hour continuous relay run was conducted from May 7 to May 10 to mark the first anniversary of the Indian Air Force’s successful 88-hour air operation carried out under Operation Sindoor.
The event began at 1.05 am on May 7 near India Gate and concluded at the Air Force Station in New Delhi at 5 pm on May 10.

The marathon route covered several prominent locations in the national capital, including Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Marg, Vayu Bhavan, Nehru Park and New Moti Bagh Road.
Apart from defence personnel, civilian volunteers also participated in the event. Officials said the run was organised to create awareness among the public about the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force and strengthen civil-military relations.
