New Delhi: The BJP has revamped its national organisational team, around six months after Nitin Nabin took charge as the party’s national president. The new team seeks to balance experience with younger leadership while giving greater representation to women.
The reshuffle includes 13 national vice-presidents, eight national general secretaries and 16 national Morcha presidents.
B.L. Santosh has been retained as national general secretary (organisation), while Shiv Prakash and Saudan Singh have been appointed national joint general secretaries.
The new national general secretaries include Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Smriti Irani, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia.

Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Panda and D. Purandeswari are among the 13 national vice-presidents. Piyush Goyal will continue as national treasurer.
The BJP has also changed the leadership of its youth wing. BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has been replaced as national president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha by Gujarat-based Dr Hemang Joshi.
Amit Malviya, who headed the party’s social media and IT cell, does not figure in the new list. Deepak Mahaske has been appointed as the party’s social media convenor.
