Hyderabad: Director Merlapaka Gandhi’s upcoming horror-comedy Korean Kaanakaraju is back in the spotlight as the film enters its final stages of production.
Starring Varun Tej and Ritika Nayak, the film has generated buzz for its unique blend of horror and comedy set against Indian and Korean backdrops. Key portions, including songs and crucial scenes, have been shot across multiple locations in South Korea, with the makers expected to announce the release date soon.
The production houses First Frame Entertainments and UV Creations recently shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video of the song ‘Kamsahamnida’ on social media, drawing attention from fans.
Composed by Thaman S, the track—released on April 11—features vocals by Sid Sriram and highlights the romantic chemistry between the lead pair. The title, derived from the Korean word for “thank you”, adds a cultural touch to the film’s theme.
The teaser has already created interest among audiences, with Varun Tej appearing in a new avatar. Cinematography for the film is handled by Manoj Reddy Katasani, while editing is by Sathya G.
