Mangaluru: Sullia’s C.S. Skanda has been selected for the Karnataka Under-15 7-a-side football team and will represent the state at the Sub-Junior National Tournament in Goa starting May 14.
Skanda, currently a Class 9 student in Bengaluru, is the son of engineers Tejaswini K.N. and Dambe Ravishankar Shastri of Enmur. He is the grandson of retired educator Keerikkadu Narayana Bhat and former headmistress Gayatri A.R.
His selection has been welcomed by family members and sports enthusiasts in Sullia, who see it as a promising step in his budding football career.
