Youth Congress Protests in Bengaluru Over NEET Paper Leak Row

Bengaluru: Workers of the Indian Youth Congress staged a protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru against the alleged NEET examination question paper leak, accusing the Centre of failing to prevent recurring exam irregularities.

The protest was led by State Youth Congress president Manjunath H.S., who criticised the BJP-led central government over the controversy.

Addressing the demonstrators, Manjunath alleged that question paper leak scandals had become frequent under the BJP regime. “The dreams of lakhs of students aspiring to become doctors have been shattered. Students who worked hard are now facing uncertainty,” he said.

He also expressed concern over the burden of re-examination, saying students and parents would once again have to spend on coaching and examination-related expenses. According to him, the situation would especially affect students from poor and farming families.

Pointing out that over 22 lakh students had appeared for the NEET examination, he said the decision to conduct a re-exam would increase mental stress among aspirants.

Manjunath further alleged that Karnataka too had witnessed question paper leak controversies during the BJP government’s tenure, including the PSI recruitment exam case. He demanded strict action against those involved in the alleged paper leak network and called for the immediate arrest of the culprits.
