Chennai: Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is generating considerable box-office interest, but reaching the ₹1,000-crore worldwide mark may prove challenging, according to trade reports. No Tamil film has yet crossed the milestone, with big-ticket releases such as Leo and Coolie also falling short.
Reports put Jailer 2’s worldwide collection at ₹710.35 crore, including ₹466.85 crore gross in India and more than ₹243.50 crore from overseas markets. Its reported domestic net collection stands at ₹398.70 crore.

On its 11th day, the film reportedly earned ₹25.70 crore across 11,954 screenings, with Sunday occupancy estimated at 38%.
Based on its current reported performance, the film could finish its theatrical run with worldwide collections of ₹900–950 crore.
However, the November 5 release of Ramayana has raised questions about whether competition from the new film could affect Jailer 2’s remaining box-office run.
The final collections of both films remain uncertain, and it is too early to determine how significantly Ramayana could influence Jailer 2’s prospects of reaching the ₹1,000-crore milestone.
