Delhi Capitals pulled off a thrilling three-wicket win over Punjab Kings in Match 55 of IPL 2026 at Dharamsala, a result that also helped RCB retain the top spot in the points table.
Batting first at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Punjab Kings posted a formidable 210 on the board. Priyansh Arya starred with a blistering 56 off just 33 balls, smashing six sixes and two boundaries. He, along with Prabhsimran Singh, gave PBKS a flying start with a 78-run opening partnership.
After the early breakthrough, skipper Shreyas Iyer and Cooper Connolly steadied the innings with an 83-run stand for the third wicket. Connolly contributed a quickfire 38, helping Punjab cross the 200-run mark.
In reply, Delhi Capitals chased down the target in dramatic fashion, scoring 216 to seal a memorable victory. Captain Axar Patel led from the front with a crucial 57, while David Miller played a match-winning knock of 51 under pressure. Their partnership proved decisive as DC crossed the finish line with three wickets to spare.
For Delhi, Mitchell Starc and Madhav Tiwari picked up two wickets each, while Mukesh Kumar chipped in with one scalp.
