New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his Punya Tithi, recalling his remarkable statesmanship, vision and contribution to the nation.
Modi said Vajpayee dedicated his life to the service of the country and inspired generations through his words, efforts and leadership.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister described Vajpayee as an “extraordinary statesman blessed with remarkable vision” and said his leadership played an important role in strengthening the nation.
Modi also highlighted Vajpayee’s emphasis on good governance and public welfare, saying his approach would continue to guide the country.
“His words and efforts inspired generations and his leadership strengthened our nation,” Modi said, adding that Vajpayee’s commitment to public welfare remains an enduring source of inspiration.
Vajpayee, one of India’s most prominent political leaders, served as Prime Minister in three terms and played a key role in shaping the country’s political and governance landscape.
