Chennai: The makers of Indian 3, the third instalment in the popular franchise starring Kamal Haasan, unveiled a new poster on Thursday, offering a glimpse of the return of the iconic vigilante Senapathy.
Production house Lyca Productions shared the poster on its social media platforms with the message, “Senapathy has returned with an uncompromising mindset. ‘Indian 3’ is gearing up for battle.”
Directed by filmmaker Shankar, the film continues the story of Senapathy, the former freedom fighter who takes on corruption and injustice. Kamal Haasan’s portrayal of the character has remained central to the franchise’s appeal.
The original Indian, released in 1996, featured Kamal Haasan alongside Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar. The film revolved around an ageing vigilante who takes a hard line against corruption.
Its sequel, Indian 2, continued the story and set the stage for further developments in the franchise. The latest poster has renewed interest among fans eager to know what lies ahead for Senapathy.
