Nominations open for PM Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2026; deadline July 31

New Delhi: The Centre has invited nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2026, one of the country’s highest civilian honours for children, recognising exceptional achievements in diverse fields.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development said nominations can be submitted online until July 31 through the official Rashtriya Puraskar portal.

Children aged between 5 and 18 years as on July 31, 2026, are eligible for the award. Nominations may be submitted by individuals, institutions, schools and organisations, while children can also nominate themselves.

The awards are presented by the President of India in six categories — Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art and Culture, and Science and Technology.

Applicants are required to register on the portal and submit details of the nominee along with a write-up of up to 1,000 words highlighting the achievement and its impact. Supporting documents and a recent photograph must also be uploaded.

Officials said applications can be saved as drafts and edited before final submission. A downloadable copy of the completed application will be generated for record purposes after submission.

The ministry described the PMRBP as a prestigious lifetime recognition that provides a national platform to young achievers who have demonstrated excellence and made meaningful contributions to society.

Parents, teachers, educational institutions and civil society organisations have been encouraged to identify and nominate deserving children for the award.
