Mumbai: Netflix on Monday unveiled the trailer of ‘Operation Safed Sagar’, a military drama inspired by the Indian Air Force’s pivotal role during the 1999 Kargil War. Directed by Oni Sen, the series chronicles the courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of Air Force personnel during one of India’s most challenging military operations.
The ensemble cast features Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain, Mihir Ahuja and Taruk Raina in key roles.
Tanya Bami, Head of Series at Netflix India, said the show is the first series inspired by the Indian Air Force’s contribution during the Kargil conflict. She added that the production pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the ‘Golden Arrows’ Squadron.
Produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel Good Films, ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ is set to premiere on Netflix on August 7.
