PM Modi conferred Slovakia’s highest honour ‘Order of the White Double Cross’

Bratislava: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with Slovakia’s highest state honour, the ‘Order of the White Double Cross, First Class’, in recognition of his contribution to strengthening India-Slovakia relations.

The prestigious award was presented by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini at a special ceremony.

Expressing gratitude to the President, the Slovak government and the people of Slovakia, Prime Minister Modi said the honour belongs to the 1.4 billion people of India and reflects the strong friendship between the two nations.

Modi said the recognition represents the trust, warmth and close ties shared by India and Slovakia. He expressed hope that the honour would encourage future generations in both countries to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The award highlights the growing cooperation between India and Slovakia across various sectors and underscores the long-standing diplomatic partnership between the two nations.
