PM Modi’s Five-Nation Tour Strengthens India’s Global Standing: Amit Malviya

New Delhi: BJP leader Amit Malviya has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent five-nation tour as a major diplomatic success that strengthened India’s strategic, economic and geopolitical position globally.

In a post on X, Malviya said the Prime Minister’s visits to the UAE, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy reflected India’s growing role as a trusted and influential global power rather than just a large market.

Highlighting the UAE visit, Malviya said India secured deeper cooperation in crude oil supplies, LNG and strategic petroleum reserves, helping strengthen the country’s energy security amid global uncertainty. He added that local currency trade and UAE participation in India’s petroleum reserves were also expanded.

Referring to the European leg of the tour, he said India and the Netherlands enhanced cooperation in semiconductors, chip manufacturing and cyber security. Sweden, he noted, emerged as a key partner in Artificial Intelligence, 6G research and advanced manufacturing technologies.

During the India-Nordic Summit in Norway, discussions focused on green shipping, Arctic research and blue economy partnerships.

Malviya also highlighted that India and Italy elevated bilateral ties to a “Special Strategic Partnership,” expanding collaboration in defence co-production, aerospace, critical minerals and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).

According to him, Prime Minister Modi’s interactions with Nordic and European industry leaders further strengthened India’s image as a reliable destination for investment, innovation and manufacturing.

Malviya said the tour sent a clear message that India has become central to global supply chain diversification and is increasingly seen as a dependable democratic partner in shaping the future global order.
