Rajnath Singh Alleges ‘Regime Change’ Conspiracy, Warns Against Attempts to Incite Unrest

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has alleged that attempts are being made to turn the country’s youth into “pawns of anarchic politics”, claiming that some groups are pursuing a “regime change” strategy similar to the developments in Bangladesh.

Speaking at a press conference, Singh claimed that some individuals had openly spoken about receiving training in Bangladesh for regime change, while others had advocated bringing down the government through a street-level uprising.

“These statements make it clear that their sole agenda is to destroy democratic institutions and create unrest in the country,” he alleged.

Questioning the stated objectives of those involved, Singh said the use of the term “regime change” raised concerns about their intentions.

He claimed that the movement was not genuinely aimed at electoral reforms or justice, nor was it a campaign centred on Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar or the future of the country’s citizens.

Instead, Singh alleged that the objective was to create anarchy and seize political power.

Attempts are being made to turn the country’s youth into pawns of anarchic politics. Regime change is being pursued on the lines of Bangladesh.

At a press conference, they openly say that they received training from Bangladesh for regime change. Another speaks of bringing down the government through a street-level uprising.

This makes it clear that their sole agenda is to destroy democratic institutions and create unrest in the country.

The term ‘regime change’ is being used.

This is not their fight for electoral reforms, it is not their fight for justice, it is not their fight for Gyanesh Kumar, and it is not their fight for the bright future of the country’s citizens.

Rather, it is their conspiracy to seize power by creating anarchy in the country.
