In the 68th match of the Indian Premier League, Punjab Kings stayed firmly in contention for a playoff berth with a commanding victory over Lucknow Super Giants.
Batting first, Lucknow posted 196/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Josh Inglis led the charge with a fluent 72, while Punjab bowlers Marco Jansen and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up two wickets apiece to keep the scoring under control.
In reply, Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer produced a captain’s knock, smashing an unbeaten century off just 51 balls to steer his side to a dominant win.
