UT Khader Calls for Integrity, Mentorship at Karnataka Advocates Conference

Bengaluru: Karnataka Health Minister UT Khader emphasised integrity, hard work and perseverance as the cornerstones of a successful legal career while participating in the Karnataka Advocates Conference 2026, organised by the Karnataka Muslim Advocates Forum in Bengaluru.

Khader said he attended the conference not as a minister but as an advocate among fellow legal professionals. The occasion held personal significance for him as his late father, U.T. Fareed, had moved from Mangaluru to Bengaluru in 1959 to practise law before entering public service.

Khader said he had followed a similar path after studying at SDM Law College, making the gathering an opportunity to reconnect with his professional roots.

Emphasising the importance of unity within the legal fraternity, he said a united community of advocates was essential to building a just and progressive society. He congratulated the Karnataka Muslim Advocates Forum for bringing legal professionals together.

Addressing young advocates, Khader urged them to make integrity their strength, hard work their path and perseverance their foundation. He cautioned them against taking shortcuts and stressed the importance of maintaining professional ethics.

He also called upon senior advocates to mentor and empower younger colleagues, helping the next generation develop their professional skills and uphold the principles of justice and constitutional values.

Khader said cooperation between experienced and young legal professionals was important for strengthening the legal fraternity and ensuring that the profession continued to serve society.
