CNG Prices Hiked By ₹2 Per Kg Amid Fuel Supply Concerns

Bengaluru: Along with petrol and diesel, CNG consumers have also been affected by the latest fuel price hike, with compressed natural gas prices increased by ₹2 per kg across the country.

Fuel companies said disruptions linked to the Strait of Hormuz crisis, instability in the global energy market and the weakening of the Indian rupee have contributed to the price increase.

In New Delhi, the price of CNG has risen from ₹77.09 to ₹79.09 per kg, while in Mumbai it has increased to ₹84 per kg.

The latest hike is also expected to impact public transportation costs, as many buses, taxis and commercial vehicles operate on CNG in major cities.
