Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has issued an order revising the salaries of employees and officers of all four state-run road transport corporations, including the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, by 12.5 percent.
According to transport department sources, the revised pay structure will come into effect from April 1, 2025.
Officials said the salary revision will result in an additional financial burden of nearly ₹72.80 crore per month and around ₹873.64 crore annually for the four transport corporations.
The decision is expected to benefit nearly 1.05 lakh employees working across the state-run transport undertakings.
The government has already released the first instalment of ₹450 crore towards the pending 26-month arrears linked to the March 2023 wage revision. The amount has reportedly been credited to employees’ bank accounts.
Authorities further stated that arrears related to the latest salary revision for the period from April 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 will be cleared in the coming days.
