RSS Ahmedabad meet: Ministers hear concerns from Sangh-affiliated groups

Ahmedabad: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held a group meeting in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, bringing together Gujarat ministers, BJP leaders, RSS office-bearers and representatives of affiliated organisations.

The meeting was held at Hedgewar Bhawan in Maninagar. RSS Prant Karyavaha Shailesh Patel clarified that it was a group meeting, not a coordination meeting, and said such meetings are held twice a year.

The economic group included organisations such as the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and Laghu Udyog Bharati. Representatives of the Rashtriya Medicos Organisation, Ayurveda Vyaspeeth and Bharat Vikas Parishad participated in the service group.

The second session was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Harsha Sanghvi, ministers Arjun Modhwadia, Pradyuman Vaja, Kanu Desai, Jitu Vaghani and Praful Pansheriya, and Gujarat BJP president Jagadish Vishwakarma. RSS Joint General Secretary Arun Kumar was also present.

The session discussed issues related to ideological and educational activities. Representatives of participating organisations interacted with ministers and BJP leaders and raised concerns concerning their respective sectors.

The two-day programme was organised as part of the RSS’s wider engagement with organisations working in social, economic, educational and service sectors.
