Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said the government would ensure that every infiltrator was removed from electoral rolls, responding to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists.
Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad, Shah rejected allegations that the BJP’s electoral victories were linked to the SIR exercise. He cited the party’s victories in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, when no such revision was conducted.

Shah also referred to the BJP’s electoral performances in Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi and Bihar after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, claiming the party had secured significant victories in these states.
Taking a swipe at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Shah also claimed that her political position had weakened.
