Bengaluru: Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep is reportedly set to make his debut in the Malayalam film industry with a special appearance in the upcoming thriller Uir, generating excitement among fans across South India.
According to Malayalam media reports, Sudeep has already completed shooting for his role in the film, which is billed as a murder mystery thriller. The actor is said to appear in a guest role that plays a crucial part in the narrative and delivers a significant twist to the story.
The film stars Roshan Mathew in the lead role and is scheduled for release on June 26. While the makers have not officially revealed details of Sudeep’s character, reports suggest his appearance could be one of the film’s major highlights.
Uir has been directed by M. Padmakumar, known for films such as Joseph and several other successful Malayalam productions.
If confirmed, the project would mark Sudeep’s first official appearance in a Malayalam film. The actor has previously worked across multiple film industries, including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, and enjoys a strong fan base beyond Karnataka.
Meanwhile, on the Kannada front, Sudeep is currently busy with the shooting of Billa Ranga Baasha. Industry sources have also linked him to a couple of new projects, although no formal announcements have been made so far.
