New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a six-day visit to France and Slovakia from June 13 to 18, aimed at strengthening India’s strategic partnerships and enhancing its global engagement.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit will focus on bilateral ties, India’s participation in the G-7 Summit, technology collaboration and economic cooperation.
During the first leg of the tour, Prime Minister Modi will visit Nice, France, where he will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron. The discussions are expected to cover India-France defence cooperation, strategic partnership and key global issues. Modi will also inaugurate the ‘India Innovates’ programme.
The Prime Minister will then travel to Slovakia, where he is scheduled to meet Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and President Peter Pellegrini. The talks are likely to focus on expanding cooperation in sectors including automobiles, electric vehicles, manufacturing, defence and energy.
As a special invitee at the G-7 Summit, Modi will present India’s views on artificial intelligence (AI), global economic growth and international cooperation.
During the final phase of his visit, the Prime Minister will participate in the ‘Viva Tech’ summit in Paris, with a focus on promoting investment opportunities for Indian startups and the digital technology sector. He will also interact with the Indian diaspora.
