Kareena Kapoor, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Daira’ set for September 18 release

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has announced that her upcoming film Daira will be released in theatres on September 18.

The actor shared a special video on social media featuring glimpses from both the film and its making. The footage shows Kareena portraying a police officer, while director Meghna Gulzar is seen guiding the cast during the shoot.

The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in a lead role and is said to revolve around a gripping narrative centred on crime, investigation and justice.

Sharing the video, Kareena described the project as a special film and offered fans a look at some of its raw and unseen moments ahead of the release.

The movie was filmed across several locations in Mumbai, with the cast and crew travelling extensively during the production schedule. Sources associated with the project said the team maintained high energy throughout the demanding shoot.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Daira is among the most anticipated Hindi releases of the year and marks the first on-screen collaboration between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
