Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ opens big, mints ₹112 crore worldwide on Day 1

Hyderabad: Telugu superstar Ram Charan’s much-anticipated film Peddi has registered a blockbuster opening at the global box office, collecting an estimated ₹112.49 crore gross on its first day of release.

The mass-action entertainer witnessed a strong response from audiences across India and overseas markets, making it one of the biggest openings in the actor’s career. According to trade estimates, the film earned ₹69.50 crore net in India, translating to a gross collection of ₹82.49 crore, while overseas markets contributed nearly ₹30 crore.

The film was released amid massive fanfare, with special early-morning shows organised in several cities, including Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Industry sources said more than 12,000 screenings were held on the opening day, reflecting the huge expectations surrounding the project.

Peddi is being seen as an important film for Ram Charan following the mixed box-office performance of Acharya and Game Changer after the global success of RRR. Trade analysts believe the strong opening could mark a significant comeback for the actor.

The film has drawn praise from fans for its action sequences, emotional moments and Ram Charan’s screen presence. Social media platforms were flooded with celebratory posts and positive reactions following the film’s release.
