Hyderabad: The Telangana government has decided to make Cabinet meetings completely paperless with the launch of the Telangana Digital Cabinet system.
The decision was taken during a special Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
As part of the initiative, special tablets have been provided to ministers to access Cabinet-related documents digitally. IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said tablets would be made available to all ministers, including the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
Under the new system, Cabinet agendas, official documents and other information will be shared electronically instead of through printed files.
The government said the move aims to improve administrative efficiency, speed up decision-making, enhance transparency and reduce paper usage.
During the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister and ministers also reviewed the implementation of various welfare schemes and government initiatives.
The Digital Cabinet system is expected to modernise governance practices and promote a more technology-driven administrative process in the state.
